Dr. Whitney M. Young Sr. was Lincoln's first Black President. He was a student at Lincoln, then a teacher, and finally President of Lincoln Institute. He was an outstanding public servant and assisted President Lyndon B. Johnson's Citizens' Committee for the implementation of the Civil Rights Law of 1964. He served the Lincoln Family for forty-five years.
To qualify for the Lincoln Alumni Scholarship, students must meet the following criteria:
Be African American;
GPA: minimum 2.5;
Financial Need;
Resident of Illinois, Indiana, KY, or
Ohio.
